All Around Roping Horse For Sale

Heading, Heeling, Breakaway & Goat tying

Colorado Comet ApHC # 539367 is a 15yo finished roping horse. He has been used for breakaway & goat tying lessons & is easy to learn off of. Puts you right where you need to be all you have to do is throw the rope. Great beginner rope horse. Very stout and an excellent heading horse but really loves to heel. Really works the rope. Could very easily learn tie down. Would be a good barrel & pole horse for a kid that can steer but doesn’t need to go to fast, he is NOT automatic on barrels & poles. Am selling due to lack of space and time, also I don’t team rope so I feel like he is being wasted. Comet would be great for Jr. or high school rodeo but is also competitive enough for a serious adult competitor. Also great trail horse, has done rides out west w prev. owner. Hauls, loads, ties, clips & stands for farrier.

Asking $5500. Serious Inquires Only!!!

5/31/10:

For Sale – 14 year old sorrel gelding heel horse.  Buckeye is a little under 14 hands and stocky.  He is very quick and cowy and while he’s pretty much automatic, he’s probably too much horse for a novice rider but would be good for a number 4 to number 7 heeler.  You can heel or breakaway rope off him and he’s good for the rodeo run or at the jackpot.  He’s been there, done that and always gives 100%.  You can see some heeling runs on You-Tube at Buckeye3.mwv or some breakaway roping at Buckeyebreakaway.mwv.  If interested call Ben at 217.622.2760.

For Sale – 18 year old chestnut gelding calf roping/ breakaway/ heeling/ goat tying horse.  Doc is about 14.2 and well built.  He is quick, has allot of run and can still git-er-done.  He’s been to through IJRA, Wrangler Division and twice to the High School Nationals.  Ben hasn’t used him much this year and he’s too good of a horse to let stand.  You can see a couple of calf roping runs on YouTube at Doc-calfroping.mwv.  We could find some goat tying or heeling runs if necessary.  If interested call Ben at 217.622.2760

10/9/09:  JELLYBEAN..... HAS BEEN THERE DONE THAT.... PRCA, H.S. RODEO, BULLDOGS/CALF ROPES/HEELS/HEADS.... HAS WON OVER $30K IN HIS RODEO CAREER. ALSO PATTERNED ON BARRELS & POLES & IS A SUPER FUN TRAIL HORSE!! JELLYBEAN WOULD MAKE A PERFECT HIGH SCHOOL RODEO MOUNT and has been to the HS Rodeo Finals multiple times. We purchased him through ROPE MYERS...where he was used as a steer wrestling school horse. Wonderful personality! Our 9 year old daughter rides him all the time but he's a little too much horse for her at a show as she runs barrels & poles & is a novice. His ONLY vice is that he will occasionally pull back at the trailer esp. if tied too short. JELLYBEAN is not registered, but is a QH with Go Man Go bloodlines and is registerable if someone wants to do the research & work. JELLYBEAN is for sale due to lack of time & use...my husband bought him w/ the intention of rodeoing on him and life has gotten in the way of that goal....he has been on semi-retirement since coming to live with us and needs a job!!! $5000 OBO!!  Contact Christy Penninger  309-267-5824 or email cpenninger@gmail.com
